Meet the Midwife Roxanne Spencer CNM

Roxanne Spencer, MSN RN CNM,  She has worked in healthcare since 2001. She has earned her Master’s degree in Midwifery from Frontier Nursing University and she currently practices south of Atlanta in Richmond Hill, GA, and surrounding areas. A Navy veteran, she relocated to Georgia in 2013 after 14 years of service. She has worked in various healthcare settings in the military during her service. Roxanne has 10 years of nursing experience working with women and infants in a variety of settings including low and high-risk obstetrics inpatient hospital settings,  newborn and special care nurseries, medical-surgical, outpatient health, community-based healthcare, and normalized home-birth settings. She is a strong advocate for safe home births and respecting the rightness of a woman's body. The myriad of healthcare experiences has prepared her with the knowledge, training, and skills necessary to support a safe physiological land/water birth. She believes that birth is sacred and only by going back to the birth roots can change be seen in the maternal-child outcomes
